Brave Republican Governor Answers Abbott’s SOS At The Border

The Republican-led state of Nebraska has agreed to help Gov. Abbott of Texas in his battle to secure the US-Mexico border as Biden’s federal government criminally neglects their duties. Meanwhile, the border point person Kamala Harris, has refused to visit the scene of her crime, even making trips to neighboring countries to discuss topics like “climate change” with leaders.

“Nebraska is stepping up to help Texas respond to the ongoing crisis on their border with Mexico,” Gov. Pete Ricketts said in a statement on Monday.

Governor Ricketts has ordered more than 25 Nebraska State Patrol officers to report for duty 900 miles away to the border town of Del Rio, Texas. The Nebraska law enforcement officers will assist the Department of Public Safety in Texas for a contracted 16 days, according to the governor.

Republican Governors Greg Abbott of Texas and Doug Ducey of Arizona have called on their 48 other colleagues to assist in fighting the surge currently underway at the southern border. Immigration numbers have skyrocketed to levels the United States has never seen, and with that comes an immense amount of crime. The governors revealed that local law enforcement agencies are overwhelmed by the staggering number of apprehensions made at the border on a daily basis.

“Given the staggering number of violations now occurring in Texas and Arizona, additional manpower is needed from any state that can spare it. With your help, we can apprehend more of these perpetrators of state and federal crimes, before they can cause problems in your state,” the governors wrote in a letter released earlier this month.

Govs. Abbott and Ducey hope law enforcement from others states can help bolster their own policing capabilities and broader enforcement at the US-Mexico border. With the help of other states, now just Republican-led, Texas and Arizona can weed out criminal aliens attempting to traffic humans, drugs, or weapons at the border. Traditionally, only federal law enforcement authorities such as ICE or Border Control can arrest illegals for immigration crimes, but the two governors expanded enforcement authorities by declaring a statewide emergency.

Republican Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis said late last week that he will send law enforcement from his state to assist in the fight for border security.
