Anti-gun, Democrat-run states are looking to circumvent the Supreme Court’s pro-Second Amendment lean by passing a series of restrictive laws while urging the private sector to violate privacy rights for gun owners.
Democrats have an overarching goal to place each and every law-abiding gun owner on a national registry so the government can keep track of who is armed and who isn’t. The purpose of this goal is eventually to disarm the populous and further restrict society in a tyrannical fashion all while using ‘progressivism’ as their backdrop.
Efforts to identify gun owners have increased as of late, with the government pressuring the private sector to ‘do their part’ while using school shootings and other tragedies as bait.
Dozens of New York lawmakers are urging Visa and Mastercard to create a new firearms-specific category code that would in effect flag gun purchases in the state and around the country.
Democrats sent a letter to the credit card companies, in which they urge Visa and Mastercard to move guns out from under a broad category like sporting goods, placing them under one that refers specifically to guns or gun stores.
Credit card companies typically categorize purchases as an added service to help customers make better spending decisions. They use a series of codes to distinguish between purchases, and Democrats are urging companies to create a special code for gun-related purchases, thus identifying who made said purchases.
The legislators say that could ultimately help law enforcement to stop crimes like firearms trafficking, or even prevent mass shootings.
PoliticsNY notes that NY State Sen. Zellnor Y. Myrie (D-) is spearheading the effort to change the categorizations for guns purchased via credit cards — and she’s a lunatic.
Myrie said, “We urge American Express and Mastercard to take a simple step today that may prevent massive bloodshed in the future.”
What an insane and irresponsible statement to make.
Meanwhile, gun violence in New York is nearly always caused by thug criminals of a certain demographic, if you get the gist, not law-abiding gun owners.
But Democrats aren’t allowed to be honest about that. In America, facts must be subverted in order to justify one’s radical political agenda.
