Biden Puts Pedal To The Metal On Gun Control

Joe Biden held a press conference to address the skyrocketing crime rates currently inflicting the country. Major cities nationwide, often Democrat-led and with restrictive gun laws already in place, have experienced violent crime so shocking that many residents have begun to flee.

Instead of addressing the Left’s push to “Defund the Police,” an initiative which spurred widespread crime across the country, Biden instead focused on stripping law-abiding Americans of their Second Amendment rights. Last summer, while his party was enabling Far-Left rioters who attempted to burn down major U.S. cities, Biden remained silent. The political price he would pay to condemn such violence would cost him support with the “progressive” wing of the party.

During the press conference, Biden essentially threatened legal gun owners with nuclear war, saying, “If you wish to take on the government you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.”

Adding:

“The Second Amendment has always limited the type of people who may own a gun and what type of weapon you could own,” noting, “You couldn’t buy a cannon.”

However, Biden claims are categorically false on all accounts. The Founding Fathers specifically included the phrase “shall not be infringed” into the text of the Second Amendment in order to empower Americans to defend themselves against tyrannical governments. Additionally, owning cannons is actually legal, and non-criminal Americans can obtain them at any time under the National Firearms Act.

Biden has not been shy about admitting his disregard for the U.S. Constitution, particularly the Second Amendment. Earlier this year he claimed, “no amendment is absolute” while delivering an address to Congress, urging them to push for more restrictive gun control.

While his wild statement was geared toward the Second Amendment, once must consider the reaction if President Trump made the same claim. Democrats and Leftists alike would be up-in-arms, making accusations that the Republicans would try and abolish the 13th amendment which abolished slavery.

Joe Biden has long been an advocate for restrictive gun control measures. During his tenure as a Senator and as Vice President, the cognitively-declining president has worked tirelessly to strip Americans of their right to defend themselves against the very government Biden is creating now — one of tyranny and autocratic control.
