It’s not looking good for (soon to be) Former Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo.
The notorious sex pest is facing serious criminal charges from both state and federal prosecutors after New York Attorney General Letitia James released findings from an investigation into the allegations against Cuomo.
Her findings showed that Cuomo routinely engaged in inappropriate behavior with current and former staffers. The victims report numerous forms of harassment and disturbing patterns of behavior, such as inappropriate and unwanted touching, forced kissing, and intimidation. The Attorney General found that as a result of Cuomo’s behavior, a toxic and hostile workplace was created.
Andrew Cuomo was interviewed for over 11 hours for James’s investigation. Additionally, the Attorney General collected tens of thousands of hours of testimony, documents, witness statements, and more.
Now, the once-popular governor is facing immense backlash. His former political allies are not publicly calling for his resignation, including Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and New York Democrats Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kristin Gillibrand.
Unfortunately for Cuomo, he’s also lost support with residents in New York.
Around 59% of New Yorkers think Governor Andrew Cuomo should resign after an independent investigation found he groped, kissed or made suggestive comments to 11 women in violation of the law, a Marist Poll showed on Wednesday.
After state Attorney General Letitia James unveiled the investigation’s conclusions on Tuesday, Cuomo said in a video statement he had no plans to resign and denied he had acted inappropriately.
