It appears that we’re in for more Fauci even as the coronavirus quickly becomes a non-issue to a growing number of Americans who desperately want to move on from the debacle of the last two years.
Not only is Fauci sticking around as Joe Biden’s Chief Medical Advisor, but his last move could be reinstating coronavirus restrictions like mask and vaccine mandates, and even another lockdown.
Troubling data from Asia and Europe has hinted toward another COVID surge over here in the States. This prompted “America’s Favorite Doctor” to begin appearing on fake news channels again to warn of the possibility for more restrictions at a time when most Americans have moved on.
Dr. Anthony Fauci: "This virus has fooled us before, and we really must be prepared for the possibility that we might get another variant and we don't want to be caught flatfooted on that." https://t.co/JAxVOQT5k2 pic.twitter.com/rKjBJv6juk

“If in fact, we do see a turnaround and a resurgence, we have to be able to pivot and go back to any degree of mitigation that is commensurate with what the situation is. We can’t just say, ‘We’re done. We’re going to move on.’ We’ve got to be able to be flexible because we’re dealing with a dynamic situation.”
Yes, that’s exactly what we can say. The gall of these so-called public health officials to demand what we can or cannot say, where we can go, who we can associate with, etc. It’s all about control and Fauci (albeit subtly) makes that known during every public appearance he gives.
On the issue of retirement, Fauci changed course after hinting toward his retirement plans during a podcast interview last month. He said, “I’m looking forward to spending more time with my friends and family,” implying that his work schedule keeps him away from loved ones.
Many cheered on his decision to possibly retire, but all of our hopes and dreams were crushed on Sunday when the doctor backtracked on his plans.
“I want to make sure we’re really out of this before I consider doing anything different. We’re still in this. We have a way to go. We’re clearly going in the right direction. I hope we stay that way.”
.@GStephanopoulos: “Are we approaching the point where we are past the pandemic phase and you'll go get some rest?”
Dr. Fauci: “I'm not so sure. I want to make sure we're really out of this before I really seriously consider doing anything different.” https://t.co/AcoWdwYNTg pic.twitter.com/iRMDlyZXG4
