GOP Gov. Vows To Secure Border One Way or Another

Joe Biden is in direct violation of the U.S. Constitution and is unwilling (and unable) to fulfill his duties as the U.S. commander in chief.

The US-Mexico border has devolved into a full-blown humanitarian crisis thanks to the open border policies that dictate Biden’s immigration strategy. And border states, often led by Republicans, are forced to use their taxpayer resources to clean up the mess.

That stops now.

Texas Gov. Abbott has been forced to take matters into his own hands; slowly but surely Texas is making big moves to keep criminals out of the United States.

On Thursday, Abbott took executive action on border security, signing an order directing National Guard troops and local police forces to arrest and transport illegal immigrants back to the southern border. Any suspected of entering the country illegally will now be escorted back to a point of entry.

The order makes express mention that Texas authorities will not enter Mexico.

Still, Abbott’s order will likely be challenged by the federal government.

Only federal law enforcement officials like the U.S. Border Patrol have the legal authority to handle immigration offenses, such as someone suspected of illegally crossing the border by land, air, and sea.

Abbott chose to act after multiple Texas counties declared an invasion under the U.S. Constitution. The same officials have pushed Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton to declare an invasion at the state level but have not seen such action to date.

Over Independence Day weekend, Texas experienced a massive influx of illegal border crossers. More than 5,000 migrants were apprehended in 48 hours alone.

Some immigration hawks have voiced concern over Abbott’s order, claiming it doesn’t go far enough to enforce the current immigration law.
Former senior U.S. Department of Homeland Security official Ken Cuccinelli criticized Abbott for not declaring an invasion himself and not authorizing the military or police to escort illegal immigrants into Mexico physically.

While Abbott’s order doesn’t necessarily push the envelope as far as some former Trump officials, it is a bold move considering the complete lack of law enforcement current at the border thanks to Biden’s policies.

The U.S. continues to suffer the reality of the insidious level of globalism Biden brings to the White House.
